Gearing Up For The Winter Games

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com

The Winter Games are in full swing! I love the excitement in the air when the Winter or Summer Games are going on. Alas, every time they come around I always find it difficult to keep track. But not this year! I’m planning on keeping up and following all the fun. I think it’s a great tradition that most of the world still participates and competes. I mean, think about it. The first modern Games (Summer) date back to 1896 in Athens, Greece. They were inspired by the Ancient Games which were held in Olympia, Greece from 8th Century BC to 4th Century AD! Isn’t that nuts?! We’re participating and watching a tradition that basically dates back roughly 2800 years! How cool is that?!?

I know, I should give you a minute to collect yourselves from the astonishment. You go ahead and try and contain the excitement (not being sarcastic, you really should be excited, I know I am!), and I’ll let you know about a few products that were sent my way thanks to Babbleboxx. They’re all great and go hand in hand with The Winter Games. How so? Because The Games give athletes who have trained their entire lives for a chance to compete and represent their country. In order to be the best of the best, you need focus, and a healthy lifestyle… Among a dozen other things, but let’s just talk about those today, haha. No, these products won’t propel you from what you’re doing now to becoming a Winter Games athlete, but they’ll help you throughout the winter months in various ways, keeping you focused, snacking smarter, and being determined to hold off selling your home and moving to Florida because of the cold. Which, btw, we totally did and have zero regrets. Just sayin’!

Popchips Peanut Butter nutter puffs

I was excited about these since I first saw them. With the kid’s and their peanut allergy, we try to stay away from buying anything with peanuts. Buuuuuuuut thanks to the kid’s staying at the mother in-law’s for the weekend, we were able to crack open a bag and boy, oh boy. The pure peanut butter smell hit me and I could almost feel it coursing through my veins. This is quite possibly the perfect snack if you’re a peanut butter lover. Not only is it amazingly tasty, it’s a healthy snack! At only 130 calories and 5 grams of protein per serving, this has most of the other snacks out there beat. You can see my wife stealing some during the photo shoot like I wasn’t doing anything important. Can’t blame her though, it’s hard to not keep snacking on them! If you’re interested, you can find them at your local grocery store or even on Amazon. Nutterpuffs.com.

White Claw® Hard Seltzer

Very intrigued, we couldn’t wait to give this a try. We’re always looking for alcoholic beverages that aren’t so overpowering, and I think we found a winner. White Claw Hard Seltzer is dangerously good. It goes down very smooth for being 5% ABV, and on top of that it’s so crisp and refreshing. At only 100 calories, you can drink a few and not feel any guilt about laying around the house relaxing because it’s too cold to go out. They have 4 flavors – Natural Lime, Raspberry, Black Cherry, and Ruby Grapefruit. So far I’m a fan of the Black Cherry. I can’t wait to give the others a try to see how they stack up.

BEE & YOU Royal Jelly Raw Honey + Propolis Raw Honey Throat Spray

The natural sweetness of honey makes it my go-to sweetener around the house. Royal Jelly though has even more to it. The health benefits are substantial in comparison to regular honey and is well worth looking into. It’s known to boost your immune system, improve your endurance and physical performance, and increases energy. So if you are getting inspired by The Winter Games, some Royal Jelly Raw Honey would be a good way to ensure you’re staying healthy and active. I’m planning on sweetening up my oatmeal and tea with this from now on.

Propolis is a bee glue, basically, that honey bees produce. They use propolis to protect the hive against diseases with its antibacterial, antibiotic, and antiseptic properties. With so many health benefits, concentrating the power of paropolis raw honey into a throat spray is genius. Especially now with flu season looming outside your door the minute you walk out, it’s safe to keep this in your pocket to add another layer of protection. I was coming down with the funk from one of the kids and thought to give this a try. No lie, my throat started feeling better the next day! Coincidence?! I don’t know, but I’m willing to trust the bees.

PodPocket – AirPod holder

Thanks to an early Valentine’s gift from my wife, I can happily say I’m an owner of AirPods! Which makes receiving a PodPocket case even more awesome! The first thing I noticed about the AirPods was the shiny and sleek charging case the ear buds are housed in. It looks like it’s going to get scratched fairly easy sitting in my pocket, so that’s where the PodPocket comes in. And wow, it’s a nice accessory. The high grade silicone feels great and the charging case fits very securely, and it even has a hole on the bottom for the charging port. The reinforced key ring is perfect for a bag or your belt loop if you want to wear it. The AirPod charging case is fairly small so with it hooked to you in some form will make it easier to keep track of. I unboxed the PodPocket case if you’re interested in checking out how it fits and works!

That be that. I hope you dug the products I showed you! The Winter Games are happening right now, are you watching?! Let me know!
